Medipath International Emergency Medicine Symposium 2022 was proudly featured on the St. Sofia Hospital website. Dr. Mihail Vuldjev, head of trauma and orthopedics, was an integral part of the Medipath International EMS 22' Symposium, not only for lecturing on orthopedic emergencies but also for doing a hands on workshop of splinting and reductions. Raman Preet Kaur, Head of Student Liaisons of Medipath International, was interviewed and published by Open Sofia to discuss the experiences and adventures of her international background. From being born in India, to moving to Germany, to moving to Bulgaria to pursue her dreams of becoming a physician. She also sheds light on her journey through medicine as a nurse and now future doctor and how she became part of Medipath International.

With a global lockdown underway due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Cofounders made the decision to transition Medipath’s MedEd events to virtual platforms. Medipath’s first Instagram Live event came to life with the “Medipath Covid-19 Live Q&A” featuring Emergency Medicine Residents and Attendings from Morristown Medical Center on Friday 27th March 2020 for one hour. Dr. Shelly, MD led the Q&A alongside her extremely talented colleague Dr. Shivani Adhyaru, DO who made her Medipath debut. After such incredibly positive feedback from the first Medipath Covid-19 Live Q&A, a second Live Q&A with Part 2 emerged.

Dr. Michelle Bakardjiev, Cofounder of Medipath International, is one of the frontline workers as an emergency medicine physician fighting the battle against COVID-19 in the world’s epicenter. She explains how this virus has made her specialty adapt and do things that were never done before. She talks about the most current information and her own personal journey through the pandemic. Medipath International held its Inaugural Emergency Medicine symposium at the Medical University Sofia, Bulgaria. A successful event which consisted of interactive lectures and hands on practical workshops. Keynote speakers from Morristown Medical Center, NJ, USA presented a range of thought provoking lectures. Lectures engaged participants with case based questions, practical skills, and hands on use with the newest Butterfly Portable Ultrasound! Over 300 students from different universities across Bulgaria registered for the first EM symposium.
